Hunt for new occupier of the Sail Loft cafe

Wirral Council took the decision to pull the plug on the eatery last September after forecasts showed that, when combined with the £155k net subsidy it received in 2022/23, it could be on course to rack up losses totalling £320,000 by April this year. Read more.
It’s brown bin subscription time again
Wirral Council has opened subscriptions for its brown bin garden waste collection service.
Charges for the service were introduced in 2013, and this year it will cost £55 for the first bin – up £2.50 on last year – and £31 for any additional bins. Read more.
