Hoylake road death appeal
Merseyside Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Hoylake on Wednesday evening.
A woman in her eighties was pronounced dead at the scene, on Market Street. Read more.
Councillors knew of risks of breaking golf resort deal
An audit has found councillors were aware of the risks of signing a development agreement over the doomed Hoylake golf resort scheme.
In 2021, the council paid almost half a million pounds to the Jack Nicklaus Joint Venture Group to stave off a £20 million legal action after it pulled out of a loan deal. Read more.

Rugby club offers camping facilities for the Open
Hoylake Rugby Club are offering camping facilities for this year’s Open Golf Championship.
The site, on Carham Road, can take caravans, motor homes and tents, and is located a 15 minute walk from the course. Read more.
